Feeling pins through carpet?

We had new carpets fitted just before we moved in 3 weeks ago. House was renovated, so fitters fitted gripper rids etc too.
In a few places (in particular between out bedroom and bathroom - which is tiled, so no carpet bar), I keep feeling a pin sticking into my foot if I am walking bare footed (not unusual between bedroom and ensuite...).
Haven't had this before (in other houses). Is it common? Anything that can be done about it?
Thanks

You can get threshold bars that are for going from tiles to carpet, you know.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
