another of those strange selling co incidences

I put a BIN up for multiple items 15 days ago for 30 days , and hadn't sold any of them at all. Yesterday I sold 8 in less than 2 hours.

There are some strange co incidences sometimes on ebay, I'll never work out why things sell sometimes and not others.

I feel a bit cheeky, but looking at it chucking it down outside, I'm wondering whether or not it was umbrellas you had for sale... (hides)

Often I find it just takes one to sell and then the others come flooding in. Especially if you had watchers.

Over this last week, I've been selling stuff that I would never use in a million years (from a mixed pallet) and the stuff that I thought, "who on earth is going to buy this" sold out straight away. Maybe one day I'll get the hang of this eBay lark :rotfl:. There are a lot of buyers with very different taste to myself (thankfully).

No, but I've been very tempted!

Its not just Ebay, I've sold in various forms over the years and consider myself to be a good buyer/seller. Its amazing how many times that its the item you least expect that becomes the best seller.

I sold my broken iPod a few months ago for almost £20. I was quite surprised that people bid on them, but but there you go, people collect anything and I guess someone out there needed the spare parts or something.

I bought an item to resell, in fact I bought quite a few. Looking at completed listings this item has gone unsold before at £3-£5 but in the same week has sold at over £20. It can't just be sellers feedback, there really isn't a lot in it between the ones that sold and the ones that didn't.

So, I'm either going to make my fortune, or more likely end up with another box load of things in storage on which I have taken a punt and failed.

Nope, get it listed - I'm in overdrive this week, can't wrap it as fast as they're buying it. Christmas rush in full swing! (Have to have little breaks over to MSE and Facebook to stay sane lol).

Actually I'm doing the same, spent half the day photographing and listing.

The BIN auction I mentioned in my first post has now completely sold out, at least it is simple as I don't have to weigh each parcel and can just stick the right amount of stamps on. It is also a free postage auction so I should have a nice steady set of 5 * for postage coming in just as RM start their usual Christmas slow down.

Oops, just reminded myself i need to bulk order more stamps as I am down to my last few packets.

  • I listed 32 items on Tuesday including 6 items that have already been listed 5 times before and didn't sell. Those 6 are selling as are 22 others! Not for very high amount right enough, but I lsted them for 99p and am happy to get 99p for them. Basically just a clear out before Santa comes :D he he he
