thomas trainsets

Does anyone know if the brio/thomas/tesco type wooden trainset will fit together with the plastic Tomy thomas & friends train set? I want to expand our wooden set and theres a huge plastic set going on ebay just round the corner from us in a couple of days.

And the Take-along stuff is different again. I know this because we've been given an assortment of trains and found that none fit our wooden track.

No they don't but the plastic track is good fun.
You can however get very cheap wooden track, either second hand, or I used to buy bits from Tesco which was compatible with Brio.0 -
Thers a big gap in the market, I found this in america, but they dont ship over here, http://www.choochootrack.com/TMSets.htm its an adapter to join the 2 types. If some one good at woodworking could make one, I'd have thought they'd sell loads some where like ebay.
Its a nice set, I think I'll keep an eye on it and get it if its not too much, I'm sure we'll sort something out.
