UFH shower room

I want to turn the shower enclosure into a wet area and install underfloor heating in the tiled room.

Do one lay UFH where the washing machine sits?

washing machines/dryers in bathrooms are very common around europe and us/canada, it's only us that haven't caught on with this one, and you don't have to have the ufh under a washing machine, would you have it under the kitchen units?!

Yes, how did we end up washing our dirty linen in the same room in which we prepare our food...?

The room is 1.5m x 3m with door & window opposite on the long side. The previous owner extended the cloakroom toilet to install a shower enclosure & moved the basin to the window end. This leaves plenty of room by the door & the toilet pans. We have a dishwasher in our small kitchen therefore we've our washing machine in the shower room instead.

Thx the_r_sole, guess we'll just void that space.

Thanks for the description - makes more sense now. Agree with t'asle in that case but don't necessarly exclude it if including it makes laying the UFH easier. Whats the substrate? If its timber you have to exclude ALL and I mean ALL movement to ensure your wetroom will not fail in future.
