how do these scammers suddenly appear in supermarkets? only in the last month have ukpc signs gone up at my local store. do the supermarkets ask them to patrol the ground?. do they get a cut of any "fines" issued?

Maybe the local store manager fell for the smooth talking of the men in suits about people abusing the car-park by parking all-day. Some employ people to walk around the car-park, some use ANPR cameras to catch the car going in & out.
They probably don't get a cut out of the invoices issued, although they should ask for 10% of all invoices raised to be paid regardless if they get paid or not.
The best trick is to load a trolley up with chilled/frozen goods and say out-loud near staff "oh dear, I'm nearly out of time in the car-park, I don't want to get charged for staying over, I better leave this trolley and move my car" and walk out of the store leaving the trolley so the staff have to put it away

lol. i just wondered weather it was down to the stores or these ppl could just pick a place and scare ppl with their useless pieces of paper (which i didn't know was useless till i came on here to check it out)0

I think Tesco get a cut of the profits. they actually boast that any "profit" they make from the scheme is donated to charity. This immediate shows that they are not claiming for the actual material loss they have suffered by unauthorised parking, but are, in fact, demanding an excess penalty that far exceeds that "loss".What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

The loss in most cases is zero.0

The store manager will have no say over property issues. It will be more likely to be their head office that will instruct the parking scam artists.0

Yeah cause low paid supermarket workers some more hassle in their job due to a matter that's so far out of their control *rolleyes* :T0 -
Don't know if its happening elsewhere but UKCPS have just been booted out of an Oldham retail park after just 4 months by the Landlords! Maybe the penny has finally dropped and hopefully we see more follow them.0

Oh dear [STRIKE]obergruppenführer[/STRIKE] "office manager" Peter Haswell must be gutted for losing an opportunity to con people out of their money.
And Mobilise will be losing an opportunity to sign up new members via the UKCPS "appeals" process. Shame! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
All those opportunities for Mobilise to profit out of a scam have gone in Oldham, they must be gutted!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
