Someone I know is wanting to accept Paypal payments on eBay so I would like to show her the link which shows you can't refuse a Paypal payment if it's from a credit/debit card on a Personal account rather that a Premier account. Hope you know what I mean. I've looked all through eBay but can't find it anywhere
P.S Sorry I've not been around much at the moment, my almost 9 week old is taking up all my time at the moment :A

I know what you mean but cannot find it.
All i can find on eBay is the following:Important: If you offer PayPal as a payment option on eBay (either using logos or text in the item description) we recommend that you accept all forms of PayPal payment including account balance, instant bank transfer, echeques and credit cards.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I've also found this on PayPal:You can place a PayPal logo in your listings from our Manual Logos page. You can choose one of several logos to place in your listings. Not all of the logos on the Manual Logos page are eBay compliant. In addition, please remember that you must accept credit card payments if you place a PayPal logo with credit cards pictured in your eBay listing.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I've found it at long last. When a seller lists an item on eBay, and a buyer bids for and wins that item, the seller and buyer have entered into a contract. Both members are expected to honour that contract. In accordance with that contract, the seller may not:
Fail to deliver an item for which payment was accepted.
Significantly misrepresent an item by not meeting the terms and item description outlined in the listing.
Refuse to accept payment for an item at the end of a successful sale.
Refuse to accept a buyer’s PayPal payment using a credit card if the seller included the PayPal logo in the listing which signifies the seller will accept PayPal payments. Sellers are not permitted to state in their listings that PayPal payments made via credit card will not be accepted.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Interesting..they've changed the wording a bit
It used to say something about if you show the paypal logo then you must accept all paypal payments, it never used to specifically mention credit cards. It also used to imply that as long as you used no logo (ie did not tick the I accept paypal box) then you could offer paypal in your listings if you mentioned it only in your auction description, and didn't show the paypal logo anywhere.
This new wording could imply that sellers can no longer offer paypal in their listings even if they don't tick the I accept paypal box..it all depends on the meaning of this stand alone sentence 'Sellers are not permitted to state in their listings that PayPal payments made via credit card will not be accepted. ' So does that still mean only that if you tick the I accept paypal box you can't refuse credit cards (as it is at the moment) *or* does it mean that even if you don't tick the I accept paypal box you still can't say you won't take credit cards?
Hmm, I think we'll have to wait and see if anything comes up on any of the ebay boards, moderated or unmoderated, about this.
