Toyo press release. 21 October, 2010
As part of its long-term global plan, the Company is currently at work on the third phase expansion of the Toyo Tire North America Manufacturing Inc. facility in the United States, and has commenced construction of a China tire manufacturing plant at Toyo Tires Zhangjiagang Co., Ltd.

So Toyo tyres could be chinese, or malaysian produced soon.
Interesting. I've still to see any from anywhere other than Japan in the UK, so it's a case of watch this space.0 -
I've used Kumho tyres, they seem good, they're a Korean company, but on "about us"
"Produces nearly 60 million tyres a year at its factories in Korea, China and Vietnam for cars, 4x4s, vans and trucks "
Don't think you can avoid chinese nowadays, they're working for everyone.0 -
Has anyone used a company called tyre shopper?0

            Tyretraders.com are good..
A lot of these tyre brands now are part of the same parent company...
Maxxis for example which I have seen others rave about are part of the Cheng Shin group 10th or 11th biggest tyre manufacturer.... Then Cheng Shin branded stuff over here gets slated...... I had 4 New on a Astra van in 175/60/13 size for £30.50 bought at cost and fitted and balanced myself in work. Nothing wrong with them whatsoever in the 12k Miles I had the van...0 -
If these are for 155/80/13, then Blackcircles are doing 4 x Toyo 350 for less than £150. I would call that good value. I certainly would not fit an unknown "budget" tyre from anyone.0
