seems a nice little player.
Played vcds and dvdr with no ploblem as usual comes without scart just composite leads.

not tried to unlock but should be a hack somewhere.

Yes it does work :T - note: at step 9 press setup twice to exit.

The up/down arrows toggle between region and 3001 - although you can't set the 3001, any idea what it is?

The other interesting bit was that my player Argos (acoustic solutions), DVD-257 was playing region 1 and 2 without a hack!!! :j

Apparently yes, with a couple of modifications - here is the hack for the Acoustic Solutions DVD-257

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the Next button on your remote control
4. Press the Next button on your remote control
5. Press the Next button on your remote control
6. Press the Next button on your remote control
7. The currently selected region should be displayed on the onscreen display
8. Using the UP or Down arrows on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 255 for multi-region playback
9. Press the Setup button twice on your remote control

The next button maybe marked skip or >>|

wharfedale at netto ,,, its the same as one discontinude from argos dont remember why but I remember posting it here.

if that wharfdale player in netto is the one iam thinking of dont bank on it playing divx properly.
Argos had to reject a shed load from memory and there were 1000s returned to supplier due to playback isssues so watch out.

does anyone know all the formats this dvd player plays?
formats like avi,mpeg? etc? as I have a few films on avi and cant be arsed to convert them all..?
