Can I switch tarrifs in the same company using energyhelpline.com?

Options
Hi,
I am currently on Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 6. I had a go on energhelpline.com to see if there was a better tarrif out there for me. It suggests Scottish Power Online Energy Saver 11 giving a projected saving of some £160 over a year. Question is --- should I use energyhelpline.com to do the switch INSIDE the same company?

What do the folks on the forum thing or has anyone any experience of doing this?

Many thanks

Simon

No, you simply contact SP and they will switch you straight over. You're not switching, you're just changing tariffs.
Did you use your annual consumption figures on the comp site?-using your monthly DD will not give accurate figures.

  • OK, thanks for the help. I also took your advice on using my annual consumption figures on the comparison website --- I hadn't realised that this would make a big difference in accuracy; it took a bit of effort to get the annual consumption stuff calculated but it was worth it. Thanks
