  • If the tech guys at currys cant do an offer thats not loop hole free its their look out, they didnt think it through & their pricing is shocking, in one store an item could be 9.99 & in another store about 5 - 6 miles away it would be 4.99. Travelling around I got some real bargins. Heres looking forward to the next offer

Dignity? We're talking about vouchers, here, not selling our bodies for crack.

That's like saying if it's not murder it's not a crime, there are different levels, not everything is black and white. People using these vouchers day after day and getting recognised by the staff or using multiple vouchers in one transaction have no shame.

Tell me about it. Anyone would think we had stolen shoppers' vouchers from right outside the store, and slit their throats while we were at it.

Methinx people are just sour they didn't get anymore freebies.

They were obviously prepared (or not as the case may be!!) to give away a £5 voucher per catalogue. They were not out of pocket as much as they could have been as loads of brochures still remained in store on 24th December and there must be vouchers that people had and never used.

The prices did vary from store to store and the same items varied in price in Currys and PC World too. Also prices on some items were hiked during the promotion obviously to ensure they got some money from people for the lower priced items.

I could not find things easily to spend my vouchers on - as I still thought a lot of things were still expensive despite being free!!!! (Well MSE has taught me to be thrifty:rotfl:)

I used 7 vouchers in the end! (6 with no hassle and 1 with a fight!:()
No buying toiletries challenge - possibly for most of 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015!
    £1 in sealed pot for each UU (2011 135/500:D) 2012 have UU 130/400 (never realised I had a mini chemist under my bed!!!) :rotfl:2013 UU 156/350. 2014 UU 197/250 2015 UU 16/100

Nursing is a work of heart by angels in comfortable shoes!!! :)

So how many vouchers did you guys use? I will count my receipts tomorrow.

I used 3.. mainly because Curry's Brighton/Hove are tiny stores with very little in them!

Not only that.. a lot of people will not spend the whole £5 on an item. I got a 2gb mem stick for 4.00, so they gained £1.

I then purchased a 8 gig for 9£.. so they have had 4£ more from me.

and 2 packs of paper (photo size) for 4.00£ which means another £1 gain..

so all in all they didn't loose, and they budget for £15 million in promotion ;)
  • Well said Kitty Wren! These offers are up for grabs, I've done very well with this one - lots of quality stocking fillers, and also the Debenhams one previously. I just love this website and have saved so much this year so a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed useful info.
Cheers and here's to a bargain filled 2011!!

haha, I bought things like cables, leads, batteries (looooads of batteries), earphones, mens grooming stuff, kettles, blenders, CDs, DVDs, CD/DVD cases, paper (lots of). Errrm, I think that's all. Oh, wait... a whisk as well, some cute Disney alarm clocks, a thermometer, I think that's all. :D
