Free Items Worth £5 from PCWorld/Currys...

I said I'd never go to Currys again - and I only went as my son wanted to look at something, but it turned out quite entertaining....

The Matsui £4.99 sandwich toaster has been repackaged as Curry's Essential (exact same model) and is now on sale for £9.99!

The lovely assistant dealing with the man in front of us who was querying this and wanted to use a voucher to buy a 'free' one said she was embarrassed to be selling it at such an outrageous increase and she tried to let him have it for original price, entering all sorts of combinations into the till. When she couldn't get it to work she enlisted the help of another assistant but to no avail. In the end the man walked out, minus the sandwich toaster.

I don't remember it being originally 'on offer' or 'reduced', so that is 100% price increase. :eek::eek:

Well done to the staff, for at least having some pangs of conscience - and shame on Currys for instigating such a price rise.

When I got my blender on friday my store still had the Matsui sandwich toaster at £4.99 (as I looked at getting that) and they also had a Matsui toaster for £1.97 - so I wonder what price that is now - lol!

Id be evr so grateful if anyone had a spare code or two i could have?
Currys is a while away from me so to have to go there to get a gift guide then come home to print and go back to buy.....

I would LOVE a code as have seen something there I wold love to get my other half, BUT apparently they hate me, tried the code, said would email me the voucher by 27th Nov, Nothing! Its been 4 times i have clicked the button to resend it, and I cant find anybody to get a hold of to try to sort it!
