Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

If George wasn't such an avid hunter I would get a few chickens

But he would sit by their pen all day everyday, you could never let them out.

There are a lot of cats around here. How does that work with cats & chickens/ducks?

No news from freegle yet...feeling dissappointed actually:(

Hens and Ducks Very Secured from Mr Fox in Pens..Farmland over the fence here... Our Cats acted differently to them, at 1st. Girlze made friends with the hens through the mesh.Ducks are new here but she was also ok straightaway whilst Saber gave a very wide berth and now a small berth to the Hens. His reaction to the Ducks was drastic, He would no longer use the door to come past them and used the kitchen window for a few days until we thought we where giving in to him and 'made' him come in the door but he crawled along almost on his belly past them for the next few days. Now he is acting normally again but has not been near them. Dont know how they would be though if they were on the loose.
Hope the freegle contacts me soon one way or other. Dianne

Thank you for trying, I guess they are more likely to give it to someone who says they need it to bake a cake for xmas for their children or something:cool:
I don 't understand that whole "charity" of freecycle & freeagle, I thought it was about avoiding landfill & reusing stuff - mind you I've heard lots of dealers scour the ads & I guess thats made people wary.

George has beheaded squirrels, he's quite ferocious, which is really weird because in the house he's a real gentle giant, the softy. Let him out & he becomes a lion:eek:
He caught a big black crow once & they are big, he's an avid hunter despite being very well fed, if I fatten him up anymore it will slow him down;)
I got him a collar & 2 bells (so they could chime off each other) for the spring & summer, that halted his success rate:D

I will do that ebay thing, where ebay searches every day for 6 months:D
• Understand George....We had a Cat called Boyzee...had him as a kitten from Hailsham Cat Protection...a really well run charity that...his Mum was with him in the centre and she seemed a right softee, he was so good looking and playful as kitt;)ens are anyway...but soon discovered as he grew we had taken on our first Hunter....just like your Geroge, outside world inside world...he managed to drag a moorhen from a nearby pond..through the catflap and place in our bedroom. are different models of magimix compatable.

My husband (he's not dh:mad:) has broken the lid of my magimix 3000.

A replacement is £56.00 (maybe p&p too):(

at that price it would almost be better to replace:eek:

But i would like to get a replacement so i can pass it onto my dd rather than dump:eek:

If i knew about model compatability i could search ebay, maybe their are other models that have the same lid?

I've searched magimix compatability & for a magimix forum, anyone know?

Many thanks

i just found an email on yahoo for freegle re mixer available...she got let down :Thave replied now and just got to wait until she sees my mail with my phone number on it.....yippeeeeee i do hope so

Can you believe that one in the north went for £100 + £12 P&P:eek:

For an old 3000 model.

Add £50 & they could have got a modern magimix
