Thanks for the advice FTW i will do as you said and tell them im only willing to communicate in letter, i have a feeling this wont disuade them from the phone calls and bully tactics though,

And yes bigcraigjohn i googled phones4u and ive seen an immense ammount of people complaining about feeling forced into signing, im not sure if it would stand up much in court however, if they did take me to court id gladly tell them it all, i dont fear the court its the girlfriend that does.

Complaints to and about phones4u should also be drafted.

There's also a 'telephone harassment' letter you can send to whichever agency/entity it is who's calling you. Any letters you send should be sent recorded delivery, so you'll know if they've reached the recipient. That way, if calls persist, they will have no excuse for letting calls continue.
  • Offer them £5 a month and watch them spend more than that chasing you. Also set up a standing order to pay it so you have their details and the dont have yours.

  • Orange are complete and utter shysters.

I was overcharged by nearly £300 on two separate bills because they failed to take my inclusive call time into account and charged me the standard rate.

I spoke to several of their customer service agents, who said I should pay the bills to avoid the debt being passed to a DCA and that I would be refunded on my next statement, but the money never appeared. I phoned every month until the end of the contract to try to get them to refund but the most I got was a cheque for £4.00(!).

At the time I was going through a crappy divorce and didn't have the time, energy or inclination to take them to court over it, but I have made sure Orange never get another penny out of me or my family and friends ever again.
