I use 2850kwh electric and 19700kwh gas per annum, with npower for leccy and BG for gas, trouble is the different comparison sites give different results, 1st utility seems to come up often, but I do recall OVO being ridiculously cheap until after contact they wanted £120 per month, I'm not interested in building credit balances , but do wish to avoid the BG increase, any suggestions?

  • The market is volatile right now - I'd wait and see what price rises the other suppliers have.

Which supply area are you in and which comparison sites are you using that comes up with differing results???

Are you entering your annual consumption, and not your monthly DD amount?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I'm in the West Midlands , the usual go compare , money supermarket, compare I have used about 4 but I would imagine they would have the same results, oddly some miss out the companies you are already with :o

Yes, they should/do give the same results!

Some sites ask you to state how you prefer to pay, (and don't allow an 'all' answer) so only display the results appropriate to that method of payment.
Others may ask if you only want to display companies/tariffs you can switch to via the comparison site.

    Results from moneysupermarket.com are:

First utilty £818.92 (FU isave dual fuel v5)

or next best is E.On £885.95 eon (saveonline v4)

You may want to consider single fuel options (if you don't want FU)

£249.52 (electric) (SP online energy saver 11) + £606.42 (gas) (npower signonline 20)

    Similar results from go-compare:

First utilty £818.84 (FU isave dual fuel v5)

or next best is E.On £885.96 eon (saveonline v4)

single fuel options (if you don't want FU)

£249.53 (electric) (SP online energy saver 11) + £606.42 (gas) (npower signonline 20)

(the 8p difference in FU prices is slightly more than I would expect, but they are probably all down to rounding)
