i am leaning towards that idea, but i could only do that for some people as i dont know everyones faveLillibet wrote:Could you buy say 2 big tins of celebrations or something else mixed (esp. usign the sainsburys 2 for £9 offer) then repackage say 20 of each persons favourites in a little bag or box? Yes it would be a cut back but personally I'd rather have 5 of my favourites than a whole box full of ones I'm not keen on but will eat anyway just beacuse they're there:o
Or could you make some homemade truffles (get over to Old Style for recipies) they work out pretty cheap & I don't think anyone would expect as many of something which is home made & looks pretty luxurious?
HTH
thanks for the idea

M&S are doing 3 boxes of chocolate coated cherries, with liqueur (each is wrapped individually) for £5. There usually £2.95 a box and are yummy. I've stocked up!"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0

Asda has a number of boxes of chocs for £1. I tried the cappuccino truffles and they were delicious. Also remember seeing plain truffles and turkish delight.0

Being snobby is their problem, not yours. If they don't like them then next year you can take them off your Christmas present list and save even more money!
Why not get your kids to join in making them, it only takes an afternoon and can be great fun.

i know what your saying but its easier said than done to take certian people off lists.
i'm basically lookin for any offers like for the 2 for a tenner tins but on smaller boxes0 -
I saw an offer in WHSmiths for boxes of Pralines (99p) & Chocolate Oranges (£1.50) yesterday. Other good places to look are stores like Aldi where their own brand Christmas items are just as good as places like M&S but at lot less (and no they don't have ALDI written in big letters on them
)!
PS. Sorry about the kids bit!
