Bread full of weevils?

I bought a loaf of Sainsburys bread and there was something crawling around in it.
On closer inspection there is loads of little black/brown things baked into the bread. How one survived, I dont know.
Im assuming these are maybe weevils and not harmful ? but I feel sick especially as I fed some to my year old grandson yesterday.
I have never liked buying bread at Sainsburys as I feel its never as fresh as it should be, but never again now.

Phone Sainsbury's now, ask to speak to the manager and tell them what has happened. Keep your receipt, write to Head Office and take the bread back to the shop. (You can put it in the freezer until you are ready to return to the shop which will kill the insects and more importantly stop them spreading to your other flour based products in your cupboards.) You can always inform your local Environmental Health if you want to. It takes a while for weevils to develop; maybe it is something else!
Either way it shouldn't happen and is very distressing.0 -
Call Sainsbury's and complain about the "symptoms" you're experiencing which are akin to this! http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=14891:p:cool:
That should cheer them up no end.0 -
I bought a meat and potatoe pie from my local chippy and found a snail in it, I took it back and the lady said, "That's fat," I said, "I know it's eaten all the meat."
Seriously though, I would contact the health dept and ask if they want to deal with it, the shop might fob you off with a few cakes etc and that will be the end of it, but if the health get involved it won't be.0 -

Lol.
I called customer services and they apologised and offered me £20 giftcard. You can be sure I wont be buying bread with it !! They have asked me to return it and said lots of companies are having problems with flour just now. Very reassuring, I dont think.
I will be checking very carefully from now on.0 -
