Ariel stain remover and Actilift-RUBBISH

I watched the adverts for Ariel's new stain remover and as it was on offer at Mr T's bought it instead of my usual very good cheap stuff I get from B&M. I used the Ariel stuff on my whites as a pre treat-soaked for the time recommended in a solution of the stuff(son's muddy PE kit and a school t shirt when he fell over) and.....RUBBISH!!! Even more gutting is that the only receipt I didn't keep was the one with the stain remover on it:mad: so I can't take advantage of the money back offer:(
My advice, get a 1kg tub of Astonish from B&M and save money:mad:

  • I agree totally! I got a free sample and used it on DS school T-shirts which had "washable" paint on and the marks are still there. There's no way I'd pay for this!

I bought the stain remover in the blue tub, and it didn't make my socks clean :(

But I bought it with staff discount, and the money back guarantee sent me a cheque for the full amount so I'm not too annoyed.

My mum was also disgusted with it and gave me her bottle of the liquid stuff , (I'd used the powder),which I thought would be better and that's even WORSE.

  • Have you read the label carefully?

The reason that I ask is that a lot of products state something such as "If you are not entirely happy with this product, please contact us providing proof of purchase" and in some cases, they would accept the barcode cut off the package as proof.

Even if it doesn't have this, it may be worth writing to Ariel (Procter and gamble), expressing your displeasure. You never know, they may just send you a voucher for use on other Ariel products.

  • I find this useless as well. I used it on shirts and baby clothes and was a waste of time and money. I always use ariel detergent and find that its not as good as it used to be. Time for a change I think.
  • The actilift stuff is not a stain remover but more of a preventer, it treats the clothes every wash to stop the stains setting in, in the first place, although I agree the Blue stain remover is not so good.

Ariel with Actilift is also not as good either:( Doesn't stop the mud sticking to my son's PE kit -still stained after washing with Ariel with Actilift (before the mud) soaking with the stain remover solution, then pretreating with liquid solution (again Ariel) and washing with Ariel. I'll write and see what they have to say about it.
