Quick Question Re: Legal services included in insurance

I have taken legal cover with my car insurance and have just got a quote for home insurnace which included this too. Do i need to have it with both or am i right in thinking th legal part is a seperate policy so could be used for both?

Check the wording on your policy, but "legal services" with motor insurance is usually just uninsured loss recovery (ie if you are involved in an incident which you are not at fault, the "legal services" will try and recover your uninsured losses (eg excess/car hire/compensation for injury etc) from the third party.

So no use for any other "legal service" you might require to do with anything else.

You're right that it's a separate policy but the car and home legal protection cover different things.

The home legal will usually include cover for employment disputes, contract disputes, personal injury and property protection - boundary disputes. You need to check the policy to see exactly what it covers you for and decide if you need it.
