Hi, I wonder if anybody can help. (and apologies if this seems like a daft question)
We have 2 CC's, one with Halifax, the other with Bank of Scotland...
We wanted to do a balance transfer from the Halifax to the BOS card, but we're told we can't do that as they are both with the same bank..I wasn't aware this was a problem. (again, might sound daft)
Question is - what is the best, most cost effective way of transferring the balance over?
Thanks for your help.

They won't allow you to transfer it directly.
If the newer one is a long term 0% on purchases deal, you could spend on there, repay the minmum on it and pay larger sums off the interest charging card.
But they aren't going to let you carry on jumping from 0% deal to 0% deal - a card with a completely different bank is the way forwards.0 -
