Best camera @ Argos??

I have argos vouchers and nectar points and need a new camera, which is the best one to get up to a £450 budget. I've no real preference but I know my way around a panasonic. They do have a few half price ones but not sure which would be best.
I need a good camera for indoor shots, for parties and concerts etc... My curent TZ has been OK but rubbish in low light situations, even with manual adjustment.
Any help appreciated, thanks

.. the vouchers and nectar points make Argos the option.
Which is the best panasonic available there at the moment , they all seem the same to me?0 -
I would say that generally DSLR cameras are better in low light as they normally have larger sensors.
Could have a look here http://www.dpreview.com/0 -

There's nothing wrong with spending serious money on cameras at Argos if you know what you're buying since they sell the same high end cameras that camera shops do but probably cheaper.
I'd avoid Argos when looking for bags and tripods though. It's worth spending a bit more money in a camera shop to avoid tripods that bow under the weight of the camera and bags that shed fluff all over your lenses.0 -
I'd go for the new TZ10, pricier than Amazon but a cracking camera:

For low light shots, I have found that Fuji cameras are usually better than Panasonics, I would consider this;

Good though those cameras are you will find that a good DSLR will knock spots of them in low light performance. My daughter bought the Fuji as she was fed up with carrying her Canon DSLR around with her; she is not happy with Fuji and is thinking about selling it. The trouble with DSLRs is they are bulky and not so easy to carry around with you and you might be tempted to leave it at home.0
