Redundancy question please help!!!

Hi i have a quick question with regards to my employment position...
I have been working for a company for 4 years and they went into liquidation, 4000 employees were then taken over by a company that bought the right to secure employment within there own company or to get other companies to TUPE over employees...
A small number 70 employees including me where not able to secure any immediate new roles within the new comopany or others, so they entered us into a 30 day consultation period. This period passed and i was then asked to attend a meeting with the companies HR people who then issued us with Redundancy Confirmation letters, of which i will details some of the paragraphs:-
"as you are aware, our letter and announcement dated 11/10/2010 placed you at risk of redundancy. we then entered you into a 30 day consultation period with has concluded on 11/11/2010, following this process i now write to confirm that regrettably your role is now confirmed as redundant with effect from 10/11/2010"
"This means that your employment will be terminated for reasons of redundancy with effect from 10/11/2010. We also confirm that we do not require you to work your notice period with us"
"You will be paid your contractual entitlements up to and including this date, plus you will recieve 4 weeks pay in Lieu of notice from us along with all outstanding monies owed including statutory redundancy payment".
Well having recieved this notice i went out and seeked other employment and managed to obtain a new offer of employment with another company.
I have heard on the grapevine that a possible TUPE might go ahead for some of us including me due to the contract i was working on might go ahead with another provider of works but its all hearsay and i have had nothing in writing as yet.
The issue and question i have with this situation is that legally where do i stand as i do not want to take any offer of a TUPE to another provider but want to take my redundancy package that has been given and start my new job. Just worried that the company will hold back any redundacy monies if i do not with to accept a TUPE now i have had confirmation of this and served my notice in writing from them... Please help
i will be very greatful of and advice, comments good or bad with my situation.
kind regards in advance

Your legal "effective date of termination" was two days ago. Your employment has therefore ceased. As a result your redundancy has taken effect and cannot be withdrawn unless you agreed to it.0
