how to cancel a 99p auction that has already eneded?

hello,
I hope someone can help me,

I have listed something and sold it for 99p
I have sold a large amount of items last weekend, everyone manage to pay on time, within a couple of days, apart from one person.
sent 2 invoices, no response, i want to cancel the sale.

I dont need to claim any fees back as it sold for 99p, but i want to cancel listing, i am not interested in selling to this inconsiderate buyer, never understand people who bid on things and dont have money to pay??

I dont want to relist it right away, that seems the only option, i want to cancel it and bar bidder.
How do i cancel, when then auction has finished?

You can open a Non-Paying Bidder dispute on day 4. If they don't pay by day 8 you can close it and get your fees back.

Even though it was free listing you'll still have 9 pence final value fees to pay so as crowqueen you need to do a NPB to claim fees back. You can't technically cancel a sale without the buyers consent and if they refuse that you cannot open a NPB after they have refused to cancel so it's not worth the risk.

Lexxx, I'd just go quiet on this one, if you open a dispute and they pay then they can leave feedback, if you send a cancellation request, as has been said, they may refuse.

If you do nothing, what's the worst that can happen? you lose 9p.;)

You may cancel and they could still leave negative feedback. I would always file a NPB it will
    get recorded on their account.

If you file a NPB & they still don't pay they'll get a strike. If they get 2 they will effectively ban themselves from buying from a lot of sellers.

I'd rather time-wasters like this were given the strike. I agree, over 9p it's a bit much, but since eBay actually give us this tool, seems a shame to be intimidated by that.

  • It might only be 9p now but if they are in the habbit of winning or pressing the BIN without paying they might well do it to someone who's listing is for a lot more.
I had a motorbike sell but not be paid for (or any communication for that matter) and had to go through the non paying route but it still cost me £8 listing fee which is not that funny then.

I say do it through ebay properly as that means they can not do it to someone else

    i opened a Non-Paying Bidder dispute on day 5
on day 6, buyer left a neutral feedback saying, was not able to get on the internet and will cancel transaction, but will pay if i want!
the buyer cancelled the transaction, so they obviously did not want it and was wasting time.

i have sent an email to ebay about unfair feedback & having it removed, even though everyone can read in my feedback what they have written & it deffinatly does not make me lok like a bad seller.

not even an apology or an email? i haven't got the patiences for some buyers on ebay, i have in past bent over backwards and listen to their crap, or just no contact for ages, and i would sit and wait, worrying about neg feedback!
    not any more

will the buyer still get a strike even though they cancelled Non-Paying Bidder?

Did you open a full NPB as the only way the buyer could have closed it was by paying, are you sure you didn't do a mutual?

    sorry soolin,
I have just checked, it is a Non-Paying Bidder i have opened, and buyer has not cancelled bid.
    got myself a bit confused!

they need to pay to get rid of Non-Paying Bidder dispute on their file?
I am sure they are aware of it and they are asking me if i want them to pay for the item? :rotfl:really not sure if i need to respond anymore to this buyer!
