Following news about British Gas price hikes. I had a phone call this lunchtime supposedly from British Gas saying they are now the cheapest providers did l want to change !!!!! Uhm No.
Whats going on??:p

    All the suppliers will fall into line with the recent increases over the next few months. Scottish and Southern went first, BG second, so EON, Npower, EDF and Scottish Power to go, unless you know different.

    Wait a few days and do your own comparison.

    They were the cheapest standard tariff supplier for a while, I would guess the price hikes will put them in the middle of the pack. They cut prices 10% in about march are are now intending to bring them back up by 7% so still down on 12 months ago. However almost no-one takes a standard tariff these prices are based on but use a more tailored package so these price rises really don't mean a thing.
  • Thing is all variable BG tariffs are going to increase: Future energy, standard, prepay, track and save 2011, disc count tracker, 4% discount tracker, market monitor, and all current running click and websaver tariffs so as the news has reported approx 8million BG customers affected!

    NOPE - fixonline v8 has been the cheapest available tariff in my region for a number of months even BEFORE the latest rises:j

    Ebico announced they have no immediate plans to increase any of their prices ;)

    Mind you, they didn't decrease them the last time most suppliers did either.
