council tax benefit and ISA

Am about to declare the value of isa's (taken out to pay mortgage as interest only mortgage), I take it that I just phone up ISA company to find out todays value of it? If it rises or falls in vlaue (as it tends to!) during claim period what happens? Thanks.

If there value is under £6000 its not going to make any difference,over 6k and below 16k benefit will be reduced,over 16k benefit stops.0
