Gas pre-payment meter

With the new gas hike approaching .Iff i was to top up my meter before the price rise.Will any gas i have still be used at the old rate. I am assuming that the rate is programmed into the gas card when i top it up .

    Your account will be charged the appropriate rate to when you used the units, and will be credited with the credit you purchased. Any difference will still be owed (if significant)

    Remember, it's only a 7% rise and you can probably easily earn half that in a savings account ;)

    Having said that, BG have a policy of not backbilling consumers for debt built up on a PPM meter due to them not updating the tariff changes

    On a Gas PPM Meter the Unit Prices will be updated via your Gas Card when you topup at the outlet after the Price is increased (Dec sometime I think!) however until that goes onto your meter you will be charged at your current rate.
