If you are looking for an ISA where you choose which shares to buy and sell yourself, Selftrade are very good (http://www.selftrade.co.uk) + they give you £50 if you are referred by an existing customer (who gets the same)
Otherwise you may want to consider idealing (http://www.idealing.com/) who are slightly cheaper but don't offer the same range of facilities/options as Selftrade.
If you are more interested in choosing 'investment funds' to put in an ISA, then I have heard good things about Hargreaves Lansdown (http://www.hargreaveslansdown.co.uk/)
Personally, I use Selftrade but it depends exactly what you are looking for.

Depends on features you are after. In a given year I will use 4 of the major fund supermarkets depending on the requirements of the client. There is no one best option. Of course, you are looking at DIY so you will be looking at other options to what I use.looking for best and most efficient service providers with the lowest charges and the best choice of the best funds etc...
Doesnt always go hand in hand. There have been complaints on here recently on a number of occassions about HL's service whilst it is generally considered that they are amongst the cheapest available.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
It always tickles me that people want thier boss to pay them highest wages possible, but then they seek services from other Humans willing to work at the lower end of the wage spectrum for a given industry, hence being able to reflect this in low charges.
You say you want best service, but you want the service givers to price thier wages low, huh?0 -
Isn't that the beauty of competition?I'm an Investment Manager. Any comments I make on this board should be not be construed as advice, and are for general information purposes only.0
