From what I can see, cover in Europe is limited to 31 days.

So you may have to arrange such cover in Holland. When you look at European Car Insurance, see if they can add on breakdown cover.

A broker that may be able to assist is hertsinsurance.com
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

http://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/adac_membership/default.aspx is the german equivalent of the AA. They do Europe wide cover including the uk and are cheap too

    Hi Wireless,

You can get cover for upto 91 days per trip through the following sites :

    http://www.europeanbreakdowncover.com

    &

    http://www.europebreakdowncover.co.uk

& through most providers of european breakdown cover I think. Don't buy the "annual european breakdown", as this will only cover you for upto 31 days per trip, even though you can have as many trips within a year as you like.

Check the levels of cover, I think with the above they both use the same assistance companies and underwriters (greenflag & mondial). They seem pretty standard, and they are way cheaper than the AA & RAC. Greenflag don't offer single trip policies as far as I am aware.

Again, you need to get a single trip. The annual, although it sounds like "yearly", won't cover you for the whole trip.

Let me know if these aren't any good and I will point you elsewhere.
I am a bit of an expert on European breakdown now. I learnt the hard way!!!!!!!

Make sure that your normal car insurance covers you for 5 months, most do not give fully comprehensive cover for that long, there are a few exceptions.
