Honda Jazz Problem
Hi
Single lady who has minimal knowledge of the workings of a car. Bought my first car, a new Honda Jazz 1.2, almost a year ago.
This week it had its first service by the Honda dealer from whom I bought it. I mentioned that there was a slight 'whooshing' sound for the first few inches when I pressed the accelerato particularly when changing in lower gears.
The routine checks for its first service were OK but the service department thought the car was generally a bit noisy. It is now booked in so the service as the transmission is to be taken apart to see what the problem is. That will be in a couple of weeks and will take three days to do.
Since this car was new when I bought it and has only done 3700 miles , it serious that they should want to take the transmission apart?
Basically, I'm just not sure how I should hanle this problem. I will contact my local Honda dealer to get more information, but is there is anything else I should do?
The car also was recalled in September and had to have all 4 tires replaced . Itfell within a range of new cars that had a potentially serious fault which could lead to a blow out at high speeds.
Just not sure how to handle this problem, and any help gratefully accepted. I'm just worried that the car will turn out to be a lemon. Since it is still in warranty (until Nov 23rd) how difficult is it to fight for a replacement, or do I have to go through the repair route then fight my cause if problems continue?
Thanks muchly.

I take it its warranty work. TBH, I'd count yourself lucky. A VW or italian dealer would tell you its supposed to do that, and fob you off until warranty has run out.
If they're prepared to go to that much trouble to find out the 'whoosing' sound (clutch?) then stick with it, seems a decent dealership! New cars can often have a few issues (i did with my IQ), thats why theres a warranty, in the majority of cases once these have been ironed out a honda will last for years.0
