car insurance cancelled
My mate got a quote for £200 less than anywhere else for his std M3 coupe, £700. He's got max NCB, no accidents, garaged, 34 etc etc. This was thru the Norwich Union website. He paid by card.
2 weeks later (yesterday) he receives a recorded delivery letter (which no one signed) stating they are not willing to cover the car from Friday 20th as "it is too higher insurance group" and "shouldnt of been available". Can they cancel with only 5 days notice??

I believe the law states that if payment have been taken for the product or service they have to honour it. Someone perhaps with a better law knowledge perhaps can clarify.0
