Vauxhall Tigra

Have always liked the look of these cars (suited my personality i.e v girly!!)

By a stroke of luck, I have came across one in my search which has low mileage (48K...S Reg) and is in my price range.

Have been doing research on net and they seem to have a pretty good name...my Dad also for years, had Vauxhalls for company cars and said he never had any major problems.

have found a great website all about used cars and you get tons of info from them which is helping me make an informed choice.

Am just wondering if anyone here has a Tigra or if anyone in general has any opinions on it.

    Have a look on http://www.tigraclub.net
I have the twin top model (Tigra B) and love it, the Tigra A is what you are looking at, its based on the Corsa so parts are cheapish.

They're a decent enough little car and running costs will be identical to a Corsa save for bodywork. To broaden your search a little, may I also suggest the Ford Puma (fantastic little car) or Renault Megane Coupe (I owned one of these for 2.5 years and it was everything one could want from a small coupe - even reliable?!)

Good luck and have fun car hunting!

I'm gutted about the Tigra - you have no idea :( was all ready to go and view this afty and I have the cash waiting *sigh* anyway...

funny you mention the Puma as that did catch my eye - wasn't sure how good a car it was but now I do;) ta

Dunno about the 'fun' car hunting - it's causing me nothing but stress as a) I don't know that much about cars (though getting better after pumping everyone for info here!!) and b) my budget is not that great...but it's precisely the small budget that wants me to make sure I can get the best I can.

The Puma will be much better handeling and more fun than the Tigra but the Puma will probably have more rust issues.

Here's just how good the Puma is:

And because it's a Fiesta underneath, should be pretty cheap to run (providing you get the 1.4, the 1.7 is a bespoke engine by Yamaha but is probably even more reliable).
