I don't understand what all the fuss is about........IMO if the 15 million squids worth is taken up by fewer people using more than 1 voucher whats the difference to the company.
I'm not sticking up for PC World or Currys here but is that a serious question!?
The more people that benefit from the offer the better it is for the company. Giving £5 to 3 million people is better than giving £15million to one person (unless you're that person).

So what everyone seems to think here is, that it is ok to use multiples as has been done/suggested?
As has been posted on another thread recently, this forum used to be about saving money or getting a bargain, however, like a lot of people now, greed seems to be taking over and as usual, it ruins it for everyone else.
I realise not many people will agree, but at the end of the day that is whats happening.0 -

It certainly was a serious statement..........ofcourse it would be fairer if £5 to 3 million people was ever gonna happen, but in reality this is not about a "benefit for the company" ...........currys and PC world do not have a whole host of items for around £5 so that would mean 3 million customers using their £5 voucher towards more expensive items.I predict big profits from this, as I'm sure the advertising exec that thought up this campaign did!!!:rotfl:
I'm sorry if I have missed the point of this forum, I thought it was about "consumer revenge" not benefitting large companys profit margins further because they haven't thought through their T & Cs on big promotional offers;)Debt Free Wannabe!!!

Oh come on. SO you get a £5 voucher from them then complain they dont have items for £5. Do you really think that is what its all about? Of course Currys want you to put the £5 towards a purchase of a higher spend, but they are not holding a gun to your head to make you spend it. Its not a case of 'wow i have a £5 voucher, i have to spend it at all costs'.
As you point out, its an advertising tool to boost sales, like Debenhams last week, like Boots OOTW and so on.0 -

some extreme cases are as high as 50+ vouchers.
In some cases a few people have won a £5 voucher and also a cash money prize or item and in these cases the £5 voucher will only be given and not the higher value item.
I must stress only action will be taken in the extreme cases.
But i must also stress that if you won cash prize or item and then you go on to enter again and then win £5, the £5 will only be awarded.

What a stark contrast to how the Debenhams £5 voucher give away was handled.
Customers where (in the main) dealt with courteously and friendly in Debenhams, I was made to feel like a criminal in a Currys store when I used more than one voucher, although the T&C on the voucher stated one per transaction!
I know who I will and will not be using again, with or without vouchers.0 -

I bought 2 boots OOtW last week, is this wrong also? If any of these advertising campaigns were "fair" I would have won the wii for 50 quid on amazon yesterday but I didn't:( It doesn't make the people who did benefit from the deal wrong. I accepted the Ts & Cs of the deal........

You seem to have completely missed my point...........it's not that I don't understand it's a marketing ploy what I am saying is if it's not stated in Ts & Cs that it is only 1 voucher per person/household then why shouldn't people use more than one voucher.:)

It was in the T&C's that it was only one per household though. Just not printed on the voucher.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0
