• It is not the case where only a few vouchers have been used, in some cases some people have used in excess of 20+ vouchers.

some extreme cases are as high as 50+ vouchers.

In some cases a few people have won a £5 voucher and also a cash money prize or item and in these cases the £5 voucher will only be given and not the higher value item.

I must stress only action will be taken in the extreme cases.

But i must also stress that if you won cash prize or item and then you go on to enter again and then win £5, the £5 will only be awarded.

Surely there is nothing that can be done as it is currys that made a boo boo in the fact that it was so easy to access many vouchers and many shops!

The fact that in the original vouchers that were available it was one per transaction and nothing else was noted there is nothing that you can do in that respect. Plus being able to police 1 per customer per transaction is impossible. That would mean staff would have to remember every single person they serve that uses the voucher! There isnt anything to stop people being able to use one per day lol.

Currys are just gonna have to grin and bear the fact that this is quite possibly their biggest mess up! :rotfl: Its laughable! Especially when they feel that one person can make random comments of empty threats and it will make a difference.

I myself have applied for lots of vouchers, pretty much because i have 13 brothers and sisters who all but 1 have no computer! not to mention my mother and grandparents!

Ah well we will see what happens. I just feel sorry for the person who made the mistake!

IP addresses are also recorded and checked and if someone is found to be abusing the system then the appropriate authorizes will be notified.

Claire, what about people that are using corporate internet connections or library computers, they will all be on the same IP addresses as others???
I miss too many pages due to work so if you need an answer from me, please send me a PM.

No doubt they class one IP address as a household :rotfl:

Absolutely, the t & c definitely said one per transaction, nothing at all about how many per person or household.

Surely then currys and pc world HAVE to honour all the prizes that were won from that?

I have my doubts Claire is the genuine article.
one entry per IP address? no proper company could have a policy that silly.

Of course had you read T&C of MSE you would know you need permission to post as a customer rep

MSE TEAM PERMISSION: CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS

Company representatives are actively encouraged to post on the forum to provide good customer service to MoneySavers. They should not be using the opportunity to tout for business. We need to know in order to legitimise it. Where permission has been given for a company/person to specifically post there will be a note from the MSE Team. If someone has posted claiming to have been given permission but this has not been followed by a MSE team note please report it to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com. Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

If you are concerned about any prize you may have won but you have entered more then once, you can email me:mickeymouse@pcworld.co.uk and i will be more then happy to discuss the matter further with you.

I will not be replying to any more posts on this matter on this forum.

The t&c are on the gift guide magazine and also the website.

I don't think Claire works for PC World. Store staff are not given their own email addresses for one, there is only a Duty Manager email address - which does not have a name it is just dutymanager@..... Also the email addresses of all staff at head office end in @dixonsretail.com.

Edit: I actually do work for Dixons but I'm afraid I do not work in a department that has anything to do with this promotion so I can't say anything on the matter! I did get sent a voucher from a kind MSEr before reading the T+Cs that state employees cannot take part in this offer! Gutted!

I do feel a bit sorry for currys/pc world cos they have messed up big time, but this offer had potential to boost customers perception of the company as generous but I think it's the exact opposite now!

If Claire did then her posts are laughable at best and damn right deceitful at worst pretending to be a rep

I don't understand what all the fuss is about........currys/pc world have advertised a "15 million pound give away" surely once they have awarded vouchers or prizes upto that amount (like that was ever gonna happen:rotfl:) they can withdraw the offer.

I'm sure a big company like this will have only printed enough codes for the correct amount of vouchers/prizes up to the advertised £15 million to be awarded. If as "Claire Adams" PC world online representative (although be it probably self appointed!!!!!!!) states; they apparently have resources to check every IP address of those claiming surely they have the technology and staff resources to count up to 15 million!!!!!!!!!!

IMO if the 15 million squids worth is taken up by fewer people using more than 1 voucher whats the difference to the company. Unless ofcourse currys/pc world never intended to spend £15 million on the offer in the first place:eek: Gosh I am such an old cynic;);)
