stereo to mp3/ipod??????

hi there all....has anyone anyone any idea if this is possible cuz i havent a clue!!!! do you need a computer to load music (ie own cd's or tapes) onto an ipod or mp3 player. a friend is looking at gettin his nipper an mp3 but hasnt got access to a computer and really just wants their own music transferred.

    MP3 players/iPods connect using USB, so a computer with USB is required to load the music tracks on.

    unless you can get one that has a mic input and record it that way? wouldn't sound good and be a right faff and no track names etc..
    but in the main it would be a no, as espresso says.
    Ever stop to think and forget to start again?

    That's not quite right. You can buy mp3 players than can record directly from your music system.
    There is no reason why the sound quality should be poor. Files may be converted to .wav or mp3.
    As woo has mentioned, you may have to enter the track names manually.

    Anyway, the Creative Zen Nano Plus is an option. Of course, I don't know the budget involved.
