citibank flexible saver 5.2% ????

I think i have found the best account to open for my saving. i only need the acc for 4/5 months . you can open it easy with a pound , and the interest is paid monthly. plus they have branches were you can pay in at lloyds aswell and telephone and internet banking. ive also heard of them ,they are a big bank! I have found the forum very enlightening and wonder if this is best . I have been recommended the hi save and icesave accounts aswell as these have no catches but i cant see any catches with this either, are there any ? cheers in advance mark

  • I've got all my stooz pot with them (I'm sure others will warn of dangers of having of 35k with one institutution - ie no FSA protection if bank runs into trouble).

No problems over couple of months with them. Only slight issue was that it takes two days to setup a new payee on account - even then they actioned 4k transfer to pay off my credit card over the phone, so payment went through in time.
