Need help AGAIN

Ive been using ebay for the last few years now and up until the last few weeks i hadnt had any problems but for the second time in the last week or so im having to ask you all for help cause i aint got a clue whats happening.

I bought and paid for an item on the 28th oct. The item was advertised has used once for a few minutes to be tested and in new condition.
Item was delivered quickly but when i opened it, It was scratched and filthy! I had bought it for my daughtr for xmas and theres no way i was giving it to her in this condition so i emailed the seller saying the item isnt in new condition/dirty/scratched etc and would please like to return it.

The seller didnt reply to me so i went to paypal to look at the transaction. At the bottom of the transaction page it said
Need help? If you have problems with an eBay transaction or want help resolving a dispute with an eBay seller, go to the eBay resolution centre

I clicked the link and it took me to the ebay resolution centre and i opened a case. Within a few hours ebay messaged me to say the seller has agreed to give a full refund on return of the item great :j

So on monday morning i sent the item special delivery which the postman assured me was a next day delivery service (which it should be for £6.70 :eek: ).

Has soon as i returned home i provided the tracking information to ebay. Im now waiting for a responce. Now i have been checking royal mail since tuesday night (should have arrived tuesday morning) and all i keep getting is

Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery.
We can confirm that your item left the delivery office this morning and should arrive shortly if it hasn’t been delivered already.


What is going on??? Im beginning to panic now cause the seller still wont reply to me personally and i havent got a clue if they have the item or not :(

The item cost £90 and i really cant afford to lose this money cause if i dont get it back theres no way i can buy the item again and ive already promised my daughter she is getting it.

Im getting myself in a right pickle now. Will ebay definitly refund me? and if so how long will it take?

    Special d rarely fails. Phone the number on the receipt to find out what is happening. If it is delivered late, the bonus is you get your £6.70 back. If it's lost, you can claim the full amount. Ebay will not refund until the website updates as delivered.

  • Ive phoned the number on the bottom of the reciept and its a automated service that is saying Your item has reached the delivery office and is out for delivery so im really non the wiser. Is there another number i could try where i get to speak to a person and not a robot?

    If it has not been delivered next day, which I'm guessing it hasn't, you should put in a claim. All Special Delivery items have to be accounted for by 1.00pm next day. Yours hasn't been. On the claim form, you should also say you believe the item to be lost (Again, unaccounted for) and claim the full amount, plus postage price
