Gatwick EasyJet advice

Hi,
Not a frequent flier and we are using easyjet at gatwick.
I have heard a lot of confusing advice about boarding & checking in.
We need to check in a suitcase and would welcome some help on the best way to ensure we have seats together.
thank you

Easyjet don't allocate seats so youre best bet is turn up to the airport well in advance of departure and check in as early as possible. Easyjet operates a priority boarding system so the earlier you check in, the earlier you can board the plane, allowing you more choice of seats. There should be no problem getting two together.

Main things to worry about are

    1) get checked in - if you don't checkin before checkin closes you don't fly
    2) check the latest rules on luggage especially things like hand luggage sizes & what can / cannot be carried in them
  • I'm travelling with Easyjet from Gatwick in September and we have an early morning flight. I've been told we can check-in the night before but not what time from. Has anybody used the night check-in before and, if so, were there any problems? Oh, and what time is the check-in open from?

    Ta.

London Gatwick – If the flight you have booked leaves London Gatwick before 08.30 (GMT), you can check in for this flight the night before from 20:00. This will give you the opportunity to leave your baggage at the airport. You will be issued with a boarding pass so you can go straight to security for your flight the following morning.

My worry would be leaving baggage overnight in the airport - where do they keep it, how do they ensure it ends up on the right flight?
  • Good point. Thanks.
