My little girl (now aged 5) has been suffering since she was tiny. We have been given everything possible from the GP, every lotion, cream, steriod, bath product, soap etc that she could write on the prescription pad. DD was taking antihistamines morning and night, yet she was still crustier than a crust thing. You could hear her skin crack as she walked, and her bedding was always covered in blood from both the sores, and where she was scratching.
We tried changing all laundry product, all bed linen, and tried eliminating most things in her life.
After seeing the doctor (not out usual ever-so-helpful one) we were referred to a paediatrician (yes, a paediatrician, NOT a dermatologist), who ran through the common skin tests and only offered to change her antihistamine and follow up in 6 month.
From the first dose of the antihistamine, DD was doubled over with tummy pains, so after a few doses (it took 3 doses to realise) we stopped that, and went back to the old two.
Then a dear friend recommended Dream Cream from Lush. Ever the cynic, I poo-poo'd that idea, and carried on with the usual inaffective stuff, but my friend got me a sample pot, and 14 months on, we haven't looked back. DD now takes no prescribed medication, just a morning basting in dream cream, and the dream wash for soap and bathing.
I'm not saying it is 100% clear, she still gets red in the usual nooks and crannys in cold weather, but that's as far as it gets....just redness, not the horrible black skin and masses of scabs.
One large pot lasts her at least 3 months, it'd probably last longer if I didn't "borrow" a slop here and there!
Lush are usually more than happy to give out a little sample to try, so always worth a shot for those that've tried everything.**This space is available to rent**0 -

This is part of my daughter's email to me. She has 3 children under 6, all had eczema, and are all now clear. There dad is Chinese, & suffers with it, but is to old now to be clear of it. She went down the homeopathic route, and then found out that the homeopath is available on the NHS in some parts of the UK. This is what she used.
The website is
http://www.barefoot-botanicals.com/Body-Care-Products/b/S-O-S-Rescue-Me-Face-Body-Cream.aspx
Make sure that they buy the cream and not the lotion because its not as good. Put it on as many times a day as possible, about 6 or 7 at first until it gets better, doesn't take long.
If the eczema is really bad it would be worth going to see a homeopath. They are fantastic and can clear eczema in a few weeks. If they need to find one check out

good luck to you allNo longer posting on freebies or comps0 -

Hi guys.
I've clicked on the link, and pottered around on the site, but can't find any mention of a free sample. Do you have to do anything else to receive it?0 -
My daughter is nearly 3 and started suffering from eczema on her wrists just less than a year ago. Luckily she is not too bad with it, but we have found that the Hemp Hamd Cream from Body Shop is great. They will also provide you with a free sample if you pop in and ask, so you can give it a go and see if it works for you.0

Nor me...would really like to try this.
My flare ups have been getting worse and more frequent - now seem to be concentrating on my face, which is really embarassing.0
