JSA Ending Early - Appeal or Not?

My JSA was due to end on the 21st of Nov and I was going to sign-off then due to not being able to claim anymore (my partner works) but I missed an appointment last week due to a mix-up with my dates.
When I realised I had messed up I did go to my local centre and explain, but they have decided to end my JSA from the 10th (yesterday).
I have another appointment tomorrow and I am due to sign on again next Tuesday. I'm not sure whether it is worth going to these and appealing the decision to try to get the 11 days claim back, or just sign-off now.
Opinions?

discuss it with your adviser tomorrow, but if i was you i'd keep signing to keep your national insurance credits upto date and to be able to access things like travel to interview scheme and any other scheme or funding available even although you may not need it at presentskintbint x

Thanks for the reply.
I've worked more or less 9 years out of the last 11, and the last time my 6 months JSA came to an end, an advisor told me it would be best for me to sign-off for 12 weeks, and if I had not got a job in that time, put in another claim and I would have enough N.I contributions to get another 6 months JSA.
I did this, and I got another 6 months dole, so I thought it would be worth doing that again (if I still haven't got a job), although I think now it's a 26 week gap between claiming, not 12 weeks, and this time I may not have enough NI.
But like I said I not getting any benefits anyway, so is it worthwhile keep signing just for contributions?0 -
keeps your national insurance upto date for pension purposes - not sure about the linking anymore, check it when your in, so long since i rated benefit however if you do sign off and leave it the required number of weeks tax years will chnage in January as it goes on the two tax years preceeding the benefit year (benefit year runs differently to tax years)- so say you reclaim 9th January the benefit year will be 2011 so the two preceeding tax years the contributions will be considered are for 08/09 and 09/10. just now you are in the benefit year 2010 so the tax years used are 07/08 & 08/09. i would keep signingskintbint x
