I am also one of those that has been helped by the tax-payers and received LHA. Never kept a penny for myself.

Although I'd like to point out I have just completed 2 weeks training for my new job!! (haha I wanted to make a thread just to shout about it but thought I'd get spanked for it so here'll have to do!).

When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.

Thanks :) I'm absolutely chuffed to bits I must admit. For past few months I've been accepting all the help that jobcentre+ could offer me (lots of voluntary courses out there that ppl can attend). Got a CV template, some help with confidence. Sent CV out twice, invited for 1 interview and got it :D

I must admit though that I'd allowed myself to rot at home when I'd left hubby. When I had to start physically signing on and show what I was doing to look for work that gave me the kick up the pants that I needed. Physically signed on for just over 2 months.

I do however appreciate that as a single mum it is hard to find a job that fits in with school/childcare and I've been somewhat lucky to get a job.

Am EXITED though heehee - LCD TV here we come!! :D (once I've saved for it of course. Don't like paying interest, am a MSEr after all).
