I've just realised that I have been paying PPI on my overdraft for the last 8 years.

I never wanted it or asked for it, but it's on there. I've been paying £4.80 a month for 8 years. I called the ppi department and they were so nonchelant about it it peed me off somewhat.

I have to fill a form out and they will refund it, hopefully.

It's crazy what I've found out the last 2 days. I had a £5k Barclayloan that they put PPI on that I didn't need or want. I had £60k + in investments with them at the time that I could of used to get myself out of trouble. They didn't even ask, they just put it on.

Just thought I would update on this.

Barclays are being VERY proactive with these claims. I have just had a call about the Overdraft PPI.

The guys asked me if I can remember when I started to have these PPI payments on my account to which I replied I have no idea.

He then went on to say that it looks like I have had the ppi on my account @ £4.80 a month since I was 18 (14 years ago), when the account was switched from a child account to an adult account as I was encouraged to have an overdraft with the upgrade.

Well, in that period I have been self employed once for 4 years and had £60k in invesments for 5 years and £5k in savings ( all with with Barclays). It looks like they have really messed up.

And they also put ppi on a loan I had with them for a year between 2007-2009 that I didn't need or want.
