Insurane company payment problems

This makes more sense. After contacting the bank and the insurance company the bank blamed the insurers and the insurance company blamed it on their computers.

My major issue was this, my father had been told the payment was accepted and approved and that the documents would be sent out in the post. He is then contacted by his bank some minutes later saying that there was unusual activity on the account, and that 15 of the payment were not made due to the security code on the back being incorrect.

Surely for the customers service person to be able to say that the payment was accepted over the phone the code must have been entered in correctly in the first place?

Yet it wasn't the first attempt it was the sixteenth. Now I have never worked in a call centre and don't know how quickly these systems work but my father has told me it was a matter of 10 - 15 seconds before he was told the payment had gone through.

The bank has noted that the 15 failed payments all occured at approximately 45 seconds - 1min intervals.

And to top it off if the insurance company had put the data in incorrectly then perhaps they should have called my father back.

Again I can not stress enough, Im not on here for a cheap way to make money, pointless claims and demands annoy me as much as the next man. But it seems to me that someone is telling porkies, or perhaps they had written the number on the back of a cigarette packet wrongly, either way im not happy with it.
