    Are your eyes STILL knackered???

Yes, I am almost regretting having it done. Funnily enough I can see to drive and watch the TV but close up work is a total bummer. Not good when all you do all day is close up work. I am now the total opposite to what i was before.

I went and bought reading glasses on Sat thinking that might be better, but no.

I have since discovered that one eye is recovering faster than the other so if I work with one eye shut i am on a roll :rotfl:

Having spoken to other people who have had epik-lasek (the painful kind of laser treatment) this is quite normal but not something that is explained when you have it done.

I've escalated the claim with paypal.. will see what happens I guess!

Presumably if he's got a validated account you have his name, have you thought of doing a 192.com trawl in his area/even BT (a lot of crims are pretty thick) and check if he's using a mates address - he may well have pulled the stunt too many times on his own address.

If he didn't use his own address - that's suspicious in itself and means he may not meet the PAYPAL conditions, they have lots of fine print on credit cards, addresses and names matching up....

See eagerlearner's thread on renting/mortgages board on tips on how to stalk nasty people via the internet - you may even find a few people able to access 'info' off board - been known.....

wooo payday! Ste got 920.72 today :T *phew* May's been a long month! Of course now because my maternity pay has ended (Well I'll be getting about 2 weeks worth which will be going straight on debt.) we'll be relying on tax credits which has messed up my monthly budgets. Will have to work it how but not sure how to do it right now and to get out of a negative figure on my excel spreadsheet I've had to do the food etc budgets weekly but it's confusing the hell out of me so will have to try a few different things and see if I can work something out..... hmmmm........................

We've also raised the food budget to £200, mainly because K's weaning and just to give us a bit of a buffer. Going to do a food shop tonight but we did well last month making everything from scratch so Ste could have dinners. He only had to buy a dinner on about 3 occasions which isn't bad at all!

I#m also going to pick up a fire guard from someone on freecycle later so that'll save me about £30 on having to buy a new one or using my childminder start up grant.

No movement on the paypal front. I have given them the info paypal asked for so just have to wait and see if the buyer responds. He's got til the 2nd june anyway but I've discounted the £77 from our budgets anyway to be on the safe side.... Scamming piece of ****.

Looking forward to tomorrow when the money clears in the debt fund and we can pay a load of citi. Paid the minimum payment today so that's an extra £42 paid off it as well as the £117.66 and the money we'll pay tomorrow. :D Woo! Can't wait for that bill to arrive. :D

Right off to try and work out the money for this month!! So confused....

    Hi IA :hello:

I love payday - and not because I'm about to head off to spend loads, but purely so that I can spend the day playing about with spreadsheets, setting up payments to debts etc! :rotfl:

Did you look into your ebay guy's history? Have you seen if he's done this before to others? I get so upset when this sort of thing happens as I like to think that everyone else is as honest as me :o

Have you decided what your target for June is going to be? Are you going to tackle citi or barclaycard as they're close to the same figure now aren't they?

Just worked out that not including the minimum payment we'll have paid off £513.42 off the Citi card this month :T
Not quite the £807 that we were going to pay off barclaycard but still a big chunk considering we've been victim of a scamming ebayer and had a bit of a splurge....

Next month kind of looks like this.
    Ste wages... 920.78
    tax credits.. 434.48
    _______________

    = 1355.26

    - £818ish bills
    - £200 food
    - £50 petrol
    - £140 Ste
    - £20 Sar

    = £127.26
    + child benefit
+ last 2 weeks of maternity pay
    = about £465ish

Which would be another nice chunk off citi. :D But we're going to keep it in the debt account in case of emergencies. We're not going to have much spare because of my maternity leave ending and with the MOT etc coming up we're going to keep it in one place just until case until we've got enough to pay either debt off in full.

Sounds like a really sensible plan (did we expect anything else?) and well done on what you are paying off Citi. I hope you are up and running with CM soon, is there a date in mind for that? Do you have to pay to advertise or do the local council just put you on a list? Brilliant that you got a fireguard too. How lucky was that coming up just as you needed it. I am really excited for you in your new venture, it is almost as exciting as doing it myself (but I don't have to be the one looking after other people's kids LOL)
