If it makes you feel any better IA, my boys were both up pre-6am this morning so I am knackered too.

Good news about Ste's interview and the Ofsted lady .... fingers crossed.

Oh yes, lol, I hadn't thought of that - you look after a two year old and a baby every day.....how silly do I feel complaining about having to do it for a couple of hours :D

I have to say though, they're amazing at 2 years old aren't they - so funny!

Dithering Dad - hahaha, I wasn't sure if you'd seen my post the other day (I had to go and feed the baby, and when I came back online you'd gone), but yes, you guessed my home town (Todmorden) - I don't remember romping with any shepherds......although I may have been drunk?!?! :rotfl:

IA have been following you ISP moving thread, I have been thinking about moving ours. We are with BT and pay £15.99 for a measily 1mb per month, then £11 line rental and calls with onetel average £8 per month so total £35. The Tiscali looks a really good deal, is it costing £17.99 for 8mb and £10 for calls and line rental? (About £28). Also is this a special deal for a few months or have you got this price for the ful 12 months?
I guess the only thing really holding me back is the thought of having to change my email address!

It's literally £17.99 for the broadband and free anytime landline calls, then they do their own line rental which is £10.99 so £28.99 + VAT and any mobile calls I'm presuming. Internet is 8mb with unlimited usage. They're doing everything for us including sorting out everything with BT. You get a free modem too.

OMG I'M SO EXCITED! A lady from Ofsted is coming to see me on the 29th about my registration to check out the premises etc! She was really nice on the phone and I really really can't wait!
She says I don't need to worry about the policies etc yet as she's not judging me as a childminder yet, just coming to make sure that I'd be suitable and know what I'll NEED to do to become one with regards to the national standards...

Ste's waiting for a call back from the woman that wants to interview him too...

    Ooooooooooh exciting!!

I-A, I was speaking to our childminder yesterday and she told me that Ofsted's standards are quite high, so expect a thorough going over. Is there anyway you can get ahead and prep?

I have a copy of all the national standards which I'm going through as we speak making a note of all the things the inspector is looking for. TBH I think they're not all that different to the standards we have when I was working at the nursery just more specific. Feeling quietly confident. :)

IA, I live down the road from Atos Origin (well about a 5min walk) and what I hear all it is sitting at a pc inputting data.

    Good Luck Ste.
