Coventry Building Society offer 5.25%

I cannot understand why the new Coventry BS combined savings and current account is not being more widely recommended. I have seen no reference to it in the financial pages of the press and only a passing reference in MSE. It offers 5.25% (or 0.6% above base rate) on amounts up to £250,000! It looks to be a much better overall deal than the new Alliance and Leicester savings account or ICICI? which are headlined in MSE. Why is the Coventry deal not being recommended??? Am I missing something?
