Rac glitch - important for existing and new members

Just spoken to RAC chasing up membership card for 2nd time, to be told that a problem wih website when joining meant my street name did not get transferred over so no card - their it is sorting prob out so may be worth calling and registering if no card received .

Also told that will always need two forms of id with me as well as card once I get it due to fraudulant call outs from non members or will risk being charged call out and full membership fee again..............beginning to wish I had stayed with the AA

Never been asked for ID. in the past.

And i dont carry any ID either. Unless the wife has her day out bag which contains everything
including the kitchen sink.

i called the RAC out t'other week when OH ran out of petrol and he wasnt asked for any ID..

I would think if you call them out once or twice in the same car you should be OK but different cars may flag up
on their system.
