Advice needed about RSPCA

Have you rung the RSPCA yet??
I think I would have taken her with me!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
I wanted to take her with me picklepick
pity she is chipped. If she went missing I'm sure they would contact police saying she had been stolen and I would be having a nightmare thinking if they took my pc and found anything like this on it! No-one else seems bothered about the dog, so if she suddenly went missing I would be the main suspect. 0 -
will ring rspca after work today0

RSPCA, are a waste of space. had a cat that got locked in an empty house when the people moved. Tried to contact the landlord but he was out of the country. Phoned RSPCA and was told that there was nothing to be done as they couldn't break into the house. The cat had been there 2 days and would have starved to death. Broke in ourselves and told the neighbours to inform the landlord what had happened. Have also on 2 occasions informed them about ill treatment to animals and though they "investigated "they left the animals with their owners with a warning, which predictably was ignored. Never followed up on the complaints.0

I had the same problem as above poster with the RSPCA. I used to have a £10 direct debit going out every month to them and cancelled it after a neighbour moved away and left the cat behind. I called the RSPCA and they said there was nothing that they could do.... disgusted! I managed to get the cat (that's a whole different story!), and took it to the local RSPCA unit to be turned away by them! I finally found a local cat sanctuary that took it. The RSPCA even went so far as to accuse me of trying to abandon 'my' cat?! I will never give them another penny of my money. My hard earned money now goes to the local sanctuary.0

The RSPCA also put dogs to sleep using bolt guns, just google it and you will see the results from 2009. They are not a good organisation at all0

Right now, all this 'having a go' at the RSPCA isn't helping the OP or the poor dog in question. Quite obviously there is no other option but to report it and hope that they help the dog, unless you want to go and steal it?!
Save the RSPCA attacks for another thread! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
We rescued a little Yorkie several years ago and although he was quite nasty to begin with, with time and care he turned into a good little dog. He was about 5 when we got him.
He had been very neglected and passed around various families who liked the cuteness of him but couldn't be bothered to housetrain him. He was also never taken on walks, never worn a collar and lead. They just used to open the door and he'd wander all over town by himself. I think he'd had a few near misses because he was terrified of motorbikes and certain other vehicles.
He definitely could not have slept outside in a bare kennel. He really felt the cold.
I don't know what else to suggest if the RSPCA won't help. Could you buy her a little coat and give it to the owners?0 -
How about calling Dogs Trust for advice?
Otherwise DEFINITELY call the RSPCA. The dog's suffering and that's far from acceptable0 -
I would report it asap to the RSPCA.
Having had yorkies myself they really don't have a lot of fur to keep them warm and i know my little one shivers when he's the slightest bit wet from the rain! so god knows how she's feeling, im surprised she is still alive with the way the weather has been. I don't even keep my rabbit out in this weather never mind my dog.
I'm one of those people that I don't care if i see someone being cruel to an animal then i'm afraid i step in whatever the outcome may be. There is no need for it and because half of the world sit on there backsides too scared to do anything these days, is why half of this cruelty still goes on as well as the pointless laws put in place.
If the rspca don't do anything then I would take photos and name and shame to the paper or to someone who is willing to listen.0
