On reading some of the ratings of the sellers selling them at that price, it seems that some are fake. Aparrantly original Sennheiser headphines come correctly packaged, not just in a sealed bag.
Saying that I have bought a pair of the boxed ones from someone selling at about £17 incl p&p from ebay, who assures they are 100% genuine and boxed.

Amazon sold out it seems, dispatching in 5-6 weeks! good job I bought mine in the past couple of weeks!

They are good, sometimes blocking out every external noise is an inconvenience though!

But this is kind of the normal price for these now, not really a bargain?

The ones on ebay are likely to be fake, definately lots of fake ones floating around, which is why I refuse to even buy from marketplace sellers or smaller websites.

Mine came from China from a reputable seller and were correctly packaged and genuine. The same seller offered fake ones at about 2 or 3 quid, but made it clear.

I think the fake ones have a straight cable connector to the player.

Sounds like the same seller I bought mine from. They came in a small cardboard box rather than a plastic store box but the seller assured me they were genuine. Well mine developed a fault and the seller gave me the option of sending them directly to Sennheiser (under the 2 year waranty) or back to him (which I did). Therefore they must be genuine otherwise he wouldn't risk them going back to the manufacturer. These have the right angled jack plug as opposed to the straight jack plug of the fake ones.

I got a replacement within 2 days!

Mine came in a proper sealed plastic retail pack.

I got mine from this guy too - they're brilliant! My OH paid £5 for his on Ebay and they're exactly the same as mine, same right angled jack plug and everything! Will have a look and try and find the guy he bought them from....

Wow! £2.66 and the delivery works out at £9.99 all in using my currency converter. At that price I might get another pair for spare just for the hell of it.

Has anyone tried Koss spark plug earphones? I was looking for a replacement & just got them. I had a quick try last night and they also block out all other noise, felt a bit strange really.

Think I will get a pair of the sennheiser you are all reccommending! (earphones don't seem to last long in my house)
