Here's the funny thing about the HPC website.

HousePriceCrash.co.uk was born on 26th October 2003. The proud parents are a small group of individuals who were extremely interested in the house price crash subject but could not find a site or portal that was dedicated to this very important issue.

Once these whiny teenagers realised the site had grown in popularity and they could sell it for a nice profit, they did:

Domain name:
housepricecrash.co.uk

Registrant:
Fubra Limited

Registrant type:
UK Limited Company, (Company number: 3967214)

Registrant's address:
Manor Coach House
Aldershot
Hampshire
GU12 4RQ
United Kingdom

Registrar:
Fubra Limited [Tag = FUBRA]
URL: http://www.fubra.com

If we like your business Fubra can act as a joint venture partner or as an investor partner. Fubra only works with teams who are interested in generating profits immediately and growing the business in a sustainable manner.

We only expect to invest for equity once if you are thinking about more than one round of funding or indeed looking to us just for our money then we are not the right partner for you.

People still post their doom and gloom on there thinking it's some site that's being run by like minded people and that someone actually cares.

The amusing truth is the more traffic generated, the more the company that owns the site now makes from their advertising. The moderators aren't public volunteers, they're employees making sure that people don't make a mockery of the situation.

Poor anti capitalist suckers. :rotfl:

  • Surely the funniest thing about it is the frothing obsession it creates in people who don't even post there?

The market value was apparently based on popularity, which in turn is based on "extremely interested in the house price crash subject".
The market dictates that the current owner should be interested in maintaining/increasing the value.
Someone could buy it and shut it down for non-economic reasons, but the potential value would not disappear, it would simply move to another website.

The irony is lost on you. Well, most of you are the same person so it would be.

All these greedy people hoping for millions of families to be broken and thrown out on the streets so they can get their hands on an appreciating asset for minimal amount of work... are helping to fund someone fat cat's mortgage with all their ranting.

Brilliant. They're like little hamsters all running on treadmills for someone elses gain. Completely unaware.

Almost as ironic as the fact that you spend so much time on here attacking the HPC website and have done little more than bring it to the attention of more people :rotfl:
Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Blackwhite bellyfeel double plus good...

The sound of the bottom of that massive great barrel you have being scraped, really sent shivers through me.

Please, refrain from making such an awful racket again.

As a capitalist, I am fully in favour of free enterprise, and I applaud the HPC for employing people and keeping them off the dole. As a reader of Money Saving Expert, I really have little interest in whatever brand of crazy the people on HPC are posting these days. Frankly, I advise you to get over it.
