You should apply for JSA but expect to be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks. I don't know whether you will be able to claim help with your mortgage (if you are it'll be after 13 weeks) but you won't get any help with the secured loan.0

Because you were dismissed for Gross Misconduct the Jobcentre will probably sanction you (2 Weeks, 4 Weeks or 26 Weeks). You will not be able to claim Income-Based JSA or Contribution Based JSA during the period of the sanction.
You should claim Hardship Allowance JSA, but; if your pension and savings amounts to more than the Hardship Payment of £32 per Week, you will not be get it.0 -
