Can somebody please help me, when I close my laptop a box comes up with
iexplore.exe closing, but it keeps coming back on it won't close. when it does eventually close when I restart my comp internet wont open without lots of messing restarting,etc.

I have scanned and can't find any faults on comp. If anyone can give me advice Please write as though you are talking to an idiot, I am not techy minded, and pretty thick really,I only know the basics.

I am running xp home.

What have you scanned with? Antivirus/antispyware software?

Try going to https://www.windowsupdate.com and making sure your machine is upto date, and also install https://www.ccleaner.com and have a tidy up, and rull a full service scan here:

when you say "close my laptop", do you mean start, shutdown, or close the lid?

Repair your InternetExplorer (http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_ie6.htm)... or if you have WindowsXP SP2, take the easier and quicker option... download InternetExplorer7 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx)... should fix the problem
